Francesca Heathcote Sapey

In 2018, after 10 years studying and working in London, Francesca relocated to Madrid as partner of Teresa Sapey + Partners, renowned for designing spaces with feelings and developing bespoke projects that provide high quality experiences. She also works as an external consultant internationally on ad hoc urbanism projects. Recently, Francesca has been named Executive Director of the MSc in Real Estate at the ESCP Business School (Madrid Campus).

Following from a degree in Architecture and a MA in Cultural and Critical Studies, Francesca obtained the MSc in Urban Design and City Planning at The Bartlett (UCL) in London. Actively involved in networks such as Young Urbanists (Academy of Urbanism) and Architects E17, as well as the MSc UDCP Alumni Group at UCL. Currently, Francesca is also member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), of the Spanish Association of Technical Urbanists (AETU) and of the Spanish Association of Shopping Malls and Retail Parks (AECC).

Invited guest-speaker, lecturer and published author, her interests include ephemeral architecture and brand identity, marketplaces as socio-economic enablers, as well as meanwhile uses and early site activation, among many others. Since september 2020, Francesca has also been involved in teaching at IADE Escuela de Diseño and at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (UPM).
