PAST

FINALISTS TESTIMONIAL

Tanay Narendra Bothara, India

“I never thought that I would be able to fulfil two of my goals before the age of 25 – firstly, creating a design that is socially impactful and secondly, attend the Design Discovery Program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (Harvard GSD)!

Winning the coveted AYDA has been a pivotal moment for me, especially as a student representing India. During my time at the Harvard GSD, I have had the privilege to cross paths and work with talented individuals from all around the world, beyond just the domain of architecture and design. My six-week journey there has no doubt broadened my horizons and shifted the way I view the world.

None of these would have been possible without the Asia Young Designer Awards, which has been a truly wholesome design learning journey for me.” - Tanay Narendra Bothara

Myron Liu, Billy Lim, Matthew Lim, Malaysia

In this video, we feature the alumni from AYDA Malaysia who were respective winners for the years 2011, 2015 and 2016. It is always a joy to see how much they have grown and have made a mark in the industry since AYDA. We are so proud of them!

Featuring:
• AYDA Malaysia's 2008 Gold Winner (Interior Design Category) - Myron Liu
• AYDA Malaysia's 2011 Gold Winner (Interior Design Category) - Billy Lim
• AYDA Malaysia's 2012 Gold Winner (Interior Design Category) - Matthew Lim
